Angaston Primary
School delivers a balanced curriculum and uses a range of
methodologies and technologies to support student learning. We work in a
safe,
caring
environment where individuals strive for success. Support is provided to
students so they can achieve their personal best. There is a strong
partnership
between parents, teachers and students at Angaston and
our staffing group is
committed, hard-working and innovative.
Curriculum features include: interactive whiteboards in classes; environmental education; wine-making; school
assemblies; choir; R-7 Music/Drama programme;
woodwind music; a 'Jump Rope for Heart
demonstration team; biannual school
concerts; annual book week
celebrations; annual camps for Year 3- 7 students;
Year 7 aquatics;
biannual 'Vintage Festival' activities; discos; sponsoring of a
World Vision child; Year 7 Graduation dinner; and involvement in many
recognised
sporting events (eg SAPSASA).
The community's values are reflected at our school and students have
a positive
attitude towards their learning, and parents are very
supportive of the school.
We work closely with the kindergarten and
have developed a seamless transition
for students.
